The World is My Drum, Vol. 1 by Mike Wittmers is an instructional tap video combining education and entertainment. Join Mike Wittmers as he teaches you how to transpose drum notation into footwork with the help of a drum kit played at the same time by none other than…himself!
From there, Mike is joined by Jason Rodgers, Melinda Sullivan, and Sarah Reich – three amazing tappers – and teaches two tap combinations. Mike teaches slowly, picks up the pace, then dances to tempo of the music. There is bonus footage at the end of the video where you can see the slow breakdown, feet only, from behind.
Mike invites Jason, Melinda, and Sarah to join him in an improv jam and then teaches the basics of improv.
With plenty of material for beginning and advanced tappers alike, The World is My Drum, Vol. 1 will help you become a better tap dancer and a better musician!
